Fall 2014 Humorous Contests
Toastmasters has both Fall and Spring Speech Contests. These contests help prepare speakers for public speaking and organizers with leadership opportunities.
Toastmasters have a hierarchy in their competitions with each level including more clubs and geographic area, as well as increased level of competition. Starting with the Club, Area, Division and District. In the Spring District finalist proceed to the International Competition. It is a high recognition to participate at the International level.

Toastmasters is celebrating 90
years of empowering individuals to become more confident speakers and leaders.
Founder Ralph C. Smedley organized
the first official Toastmasters meeting on Oct. 22, 1924, with the vision of
helping men learn how to speak and lead effectively. Nine decades later, his
vision continues to thrive as Toastmasters' education program has helped people
like you and me to live confidently, overcome obstacles, meet goals and change
our lives for the better!
As we help celebrate 90 years of breaking the ice, our organization stands at a historic high point. More than 313,000 members from 126 countries meet regularly to give speeches, gain feedback, lead teams and guide others to achieve. Please enjoy this short video that highlights Toastmasters' vision and global reach.
We will celebrate the anniversary with a yearlong tribute that honors our organization's rich legacy.

Union Public Speakers Announce Club Contest Winners
#TMclub6520, Union Public Speakers recently held their club contest September 3rd, 2014. The contest had two parts: Table Topics Competition and Humorous Speech Contest. Winners and runners-up will compete at the Area contest, Thursday, September 18th, 2014. All are welcome to attend and cheer on their favorites.

#TMclub6520 Club VP of Membership, Michael DeCamillis, teams up with former club President Crystal Wilson to help with the American Heart Association's Heart Walk Sunday, September 7th, 2014 at Mercer County Park, NJ.
